Our face is the first element that we use to show our inner layer, together with our pose and gestures. It&rsquo;s fascinating how many facets we can bring out to the surface, even unwittingly. It&rsquo;s not always an exact representation of our soul, but it shows our presence in that specific moment, captured on the silver halides of the negative and revealed only after developing it.&nbsp;

humans / faces

Funerals and Weddings are usually depicted using the typical colors of my photography: black and white, respectively. Moreover, in both situations there&rsquo;s normally and socially no space to bloom for femininity and sensuality. Thus, this series tries to twist the common imaginary for creating a distorted, unique view of such emotional events.&nbsp;

brides and widows

Marco Bressi&#39;s analog black-and-white studies trace the topography of the human form, where light sculpts curves, shadows, and textures into landscapes of vulnerability and strength. Grain becomes a metaphor for raw humanity, as close-ups of skin, hair, and gesture dissolve into abstraction, inviting contemplation of impermanence and the body&#39;s quite poetry. These images, stripped of pretense, echo the exhibition&#39;s ethos: unvarnished, yet undeniably sublime. Here, the nude is neither object or ideal, but a language of intimacy whispered through silver gelatin and shadows.

body(e)scape

A short story through images of a deep friendship beneath a sense of leaving. There&rsquo;s always a good reason to take care and to be intimate even if something probably is meant to change someday. It&rsquo;s a short representation of life flowing and warmth of affections.&nbsp;

stay

Nylons introduce an overall sense of visual distortion, being a curtain that hides the subject behind a textured surface that diffuses and reflects the light in a unique manner. Both material and sensual implications are involved: the observation of the pattern delivers a somehow tactile effect by itself.

The nature of sensuality is changing with more open-minded attitude in society, with some things that were once not perceived as sensual serving as the focal point of racy imagery. This series focused on mouths is focused on their attitude to generate a sensual feedback in the observer, while being objectively innocent.

I was thrilled to photograph Giulia and Emanuele just days before Valentine&#39;s day. I just asked them to behave normally as they would, minimizing my direction for trying to let them bloom naturally: they did all the rest. &nbsp;

ricorda di bagnare le piante

PALUS (latin term for marsh) is a collection of images of the Agro Pontino, an area of former mashland in the Lazio Region of Italy, facing the Thyrrenian Sea. It&#39;s the place where I&#39;ve moved some years ago and where I currently live, and the following images are a way to bring to you this land through my eyes.
